The annual Yale Biomedical Career Fair is a grassroots effort conceived and organized almost entirely by the students and postdocs in Yale BCC, with the goal of providing PhD students and postdocs in biomedical fields with exposure and connections to non-academic careers. The first annual career fair was held in 2014.
The career fair schedule provides numerous opportunities for company representatives to interact with Yale graduate students and postdocs at both early and late stages of the career search. Throughout the day, students attend panels in six diverse topics/careers, and have the chance to eat lunch with panelists in the career of their choice. Panels are followed by a networking reception, in which companies can network with and recruit standout candidates who will soon be entering the next stage of their biomedical career. The career fair has been a great success each year, and will remain an annual event.
